AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (ASME) (STUDENT CHAPTER OF THE SF BAY AREA PROFESSIONAL CHAPTER) The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Club at California State University Maritime Academy is dedicated to fostering professional growth and development for students interested in mechanical engineering. As the Cal Maritime chapter of the national ASME organization, our mission is to provide students with resources and opportunities to build strong technical, professional, and social foundations. Through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and skill development, we strive to prepare students to contribute meaningfully to the engineering field and promote the vital role of engineers in society. black student association The Black Student Association (BSA) at Cal Poly Maritime Academy is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that empowers Black students to excel academically, personally, and professionally. Our mission is to advance the recruitment, retention, matriculation, and graduation of Black students through transformative, socially conscious programming that emphasizes academic achievement, leadership development, and community engagement. We strive to promote cultural awareness, advocate for social justice, and celebrate the richness of Black heritage, while preparing students to become influential leaders and change-makers in their fields and communities. BOARD GAME CLUB The Board Games Club aims to provide a creative, fulfilling, and interactive outlet for students at California Maritime Academy. We strive to expand access to tabletop gaming by removing barriers and fostering an inclusive environment where students can connect with the vibrant gaming community on campus and in the Bay Area. Through regular events, diverse game offerings, and opportunities to engage with fellow enthusiasts, our mission is to create a welcoming space that encourages fun, creativity, and camaraderie among all students. CAL MARITIME AMATEUR RADIO (HAM RADIO) The Cal Maritime Amateur Radio Club is to promote interest in this hobby, help students get their licenses, and provide a community for hands-on learning. This includes teaching practical skills in electronics and radio operation, offering opportunities for experimentation and projects like building antennas, and supporting emergency preparedness through public service and backup communication networks. Cal Maritime Mens Rugby

Cal Maritime Rugby is a competitive collegiate rugby program representing the California State University Maritime Academy. Rooted in tradition, discipline, and camaraderie, the team fosters a culture of excellence both on and off the field. As part of the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO), Cal Maritime Rugby competes at a high level while emphasizing teamwork, leadership, and personal development. Our players embody the core values of the Academy honor, respect, and responsibility while embracing the physical and strategic demands of rugby. CMA Canoe-outrigger club The California Maritime Academy Canoe Club is dedicated to honoring and perpetuating the tradition of Hawaiian outrigger canoe paddling through education, exercise, and enjoyment. Our mission is to foster a sense of community by maintaining our own canoe, teaching paddling skills, and deepening appreciation for the culture and heritage of canoeing. By promoting teamwork, cultural understanding, and hands-on craftsmanship, we aim to inspire meaningful connections both on and off the water. Intervarsity club The mission of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Chapter at California Maritime Academy is to establish and nurture a Christ-centered community of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Lord and Savior. In response to God's love and grace, we are dedicated to growing in love for God, His Word, and His people of every ethnicity and culture. Our purpose is to advance God's kingdom on campus through worship, prayer, Scripture study, and evangelism, while empowering individuals to live out their faith and purpose in the world. Propellor Club (Student Chapter of the SF Bay Area Professional Chapter) The Cal Maritime Propeller Club educates and engages their student members who are interested in the maritime industry by providing them with networking opportunities, industry exposure, and a platform to learn about careers in shipping and related fields. The Cal Maritime Propellor club works closely with the local professional chapter in the San Francisco Bay. The aim of the club is to develop an understanding of the American merchant marine and waterborne commerce among students studying naval architecture, marine engineering, foreign trade, and transportation related fields. Queer Student Association The Queer Student Association (QSA) at California State University Maritime Academy is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive community for LGBTQIA+ students and allies. Society of Naval Architects & Mechanical Engineers(SNAME)(Student Chapter of the SF Bay Area Professional Chapter) The Cal Maritime Student Section of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) is dedicated to advancing the professional and technical growth of students through engagement with the marine industry. By fostering opportunities for networking, skill development, and knowledge exchange, we aim to empower students to excel in naval architecture, marine engineering, and related disciplines. Through workshops, conferences, and collaboration with industry professionals, we strive to enhance students' education, career readiness, and leadership capabilities while promoting innovation, research, and the global exchange of ideas within the marine sector. Tiara's Legacy Garden Community Club The Garden Club is dedicated to practicing organic growing methods and sustainability while creating a welcoming environment for bees, birds, and wildlife.
